Diamonds in Glass

With the idea of combining glass with high-quality diamonds, and so creating the most exclusive champagne and wine glasses available anywhere, Natascha Marx has caused a stir in the world that savours luxury. Ever since the Collections under the style of “Diamonds in Glass” were presented on an exclusive tour throughout Europe, Natascha Marx and her team have hardly had a moment to themselves. Presentations and tastings are being organised at the finest venues, special designs created to suit customers’ individual desires, and the international marketing network is being expanded.

The art of making life something beautiful with diamonds and glass
In the quest for the beautiful things in life, it was in 2005 that Natascha Marx quite by chance encountered the creative young glass artist Tobias Berger. At the end of 2006 they have founded the company “Diamonds in glass”. The skilled lamp glass blower and the young entrepreneur together developed a process, which has now been patented, of combining glass and diamonds. (The term “lamp glass blower” is derived from the technique used to heat the rough cast glass, which involves a gas burner not unlike a blowlamp).

Following the long path from the idea to the mature and sophisticated design was well worthwhile.
Two independent collections have been created.

“Tabletop” currently consists of seven items, together with a gathering of glasses, a caviar dish, two serviette rings, and an ashtray.

“Bodytop” is composed of a large selection of jewellery items, such as rings, colliers, ear pendants, and bracelets.

Both collections are available in two styles. The series “pure” uses clear glass which allows an exceeding 360 degree few on the shining diamond, or as the 2007 created “black-edition”, where the backside of the diamonds is embedded in black coloured glass and the diamond shines upfront the mysterious dark background.

Each piece is unique of its kind
By contrast with most manufacturers of mouth-blown glass items, during the production of “Diamonds in Glass” all the objects are turned by hand without templates or moulds and blown by mouth. Thanks to the art and precision of the glass blower, this results in unique creations which are a delight to the eye as well as the palate
